Meghan Beaudry Music Studio
In my twenty years of teaching violin and viola lessons, I’ve been privileged to help musicians of all ages and levels develop into accomplished musicians and well-rounded young adults. I teach preschoolers who are discovering music for the first time, junior high students who love being a part of their school orchestra program, high school students auditioning for Region Orchestra or All-State Orchestra, and students who plan to pursue music as a profession. When students have a supportive and nurturing environment in which to learn and grow, their potential is limitless.
Excellent technique is emphasized.
Think of the most memorable musical performance you’ve ever attended. What made it enjoyable? The seemingly effortless ability of the performers to express something heartfelt and beautiful? The way the musicians connected with the audience?
Every one of us can recognize an outstanding musical performance. But what is always present yet often invisible is technique. Technique is the physical ability to play a musical instrument in tune, with ease, and with resonant tone, and it’s essential to playing the violin or viola well. Excellent technique can carry students from their beginning orchestra class to the top ensemble in their school and even into a professional career if they chose. My focus as a teacher is providing every student I teach with well-developed technique so that playing the violin or viola is comfortable and enjoyable.
Students of all ages and abilities are welcome.
I teach private violin and viola lessons to students of all ages and levels. Whether your child has yet to enter elementary school, is a beginner enrolled in their school orchestra, or is a teenager who has been playing for years, there is a place for them in the Beaudry Violin and Viola Studio. I serve Texas students from Clear Lake, Webster, League City, Friendswood, Houston, Seabrook, Kemah, Pearland, and Dickinson.
Learning how to play the violin or viola will help your child develop skills that will guide them through the rest of their life.
Learning an instrument teaches core values like dedication, consistency, courage, teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic. Whether your child chooses to pursue music professionally or simply enjoys playing in their school orchestra, the life skills they learn in private violin or viola lessons will guide them throughout their adult lives.
The Beaudry Violin and Viola Studio is known for producing exceptional young musicians.
As one of the most respected violin and viola studios in the Houston area, the Beaudry Violin and Viola Studio has a reputation for excellence. Beaudry Violin and Viola students are leaders in their school orchestras. They frequently earn the top spots in their Region Orchestras, place in state and national level competitions, and are selected to participate in All-State Orchestras. Many have earned full scholarships to study music in college.
Through playing music with others, your child is welcomed into our musical community.
The most fun your child will ever have while playing an instrument occurrs when playing with other people. In addition to weekly private lessons, my students participate in monthly group classes. Group classes are an opportunity for students to learn ensemble skills such as cueing, blending their sound with others, and performing without a conductor. Most students stay with the same group class for years and make lifelong friends. Through learning how to play as part of an ensemble, your child will find a home in our musical community.
The Beaudry Violin and Viola Studio believes in sharing the gift of music.
A fixture of the Clear Lake and Galveston music scene, The Beaudry Violin and Viola Studio often performs in public. Some of our favorite venues include movie theaters, Baybrook Mall, Galveston’s Dickens on the Strand, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and even aboard a replica pirate ship.
