ABOUT ME

I enjoy a versatile career as a violist and teacher in the Clear Lake and Houston areas. An avid orchestral and chamber musician, I perform regularly with the Symphony of Southeast Texas, Victoria Symphony, and Clear Lake Chamber Ensemble. I graduated with my MM in Viola Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy from the Hartt School in Connecticut, where I studied viola with Rita Porfiris and Suzuki pedagogy with Teri Einfeldt. I earned my B.M. at SUNY Purchase College in New York with violist Ira Weller. I attended the NYU Intensive String Quartet Program and have performed with the Texas Music Festival Orchestra.

I maintain a private studio in Clear Lake, where I teach students ages three to ninety-five years old. I’m frequently asked to judge competitions and to serve as a guest clinician in public schools. My students often place in state level competitions, perform with Texas All-State orchestras, and win scholarships to study music in college. In my free time, I care for her my rescue dogs, drink a lot of bubble tea, and am never without a book.
